Dec 20 - Bemidji Meet

We're finally going to get to have our first meet this week!  8th-12th graders, and some of the 7th graders, will be skiing.  The bus will leave the HS parking lot at 6:30 a.m.

Location:  Bemidji City Park
                   1224 23rd St NW
                   Bemidji, MN 56601
There's ample parking - use the parking lot to the south, near the trailhead.

Format:
Varsity:

• Minimum of 7 skiers and a max of 9
• Four will do the sprint relay & the balance will do the 5 KM
• Two person ‘freestyle’ sprint relay (1.2 KM laps)
• Each skier will do two laps, alternating with their partner.  
• Transition zone will not require any physical touch.
• Two teams of ‘two’ are allowed per school; one in each of the semi-final races. Top three schools move to finals.  Remaining teams move to ‘B’ final for standings.
• Separate 5 KM Freestyle race.  Top three score

Jr Varsity:  5 KM Freestyle
Jr High:   2.5 KM Freestyle

10:30 AM - JV Girls 5 KM Race  (bibs and timed for this race)
11:00 AM - Varsity Boys Semi Final Heat 1
11:15 AM - Varsity Boys Semi Final Heat 2
11:30 AM - Varsity Girls Semi Final Heat 1
11:45 AM - Varsity Girls Semi Final Heat 2
12:00 PM - Varsity Boys 5 KM  (bibs and timed for this race)
12:30 PM - Varsity Girls 5 KM  (bibs and timed for this race)
1:00 PM - JH Boys 2.5 KN
1:30 PM -  JH Girls 2.5 KM
2:00 PM - Varisty Boys ‘B’ Finals (places 7 - )
2:15 PM - Varsity Girls ‘B’ Finals (places 7 - )
2:30 PM - Varsity Boys ‘A’ Finals (places 1 – 6)
2:45 PM - Varsity Girls ‘A’ Finals (places 1 – 6)
3:15 PM (hopefully) - Awards

There will be a concession stand in the park and rec building.
