Coach's Updates
Congrats to Gunner and Anna for finishing 1st and 2nd in their class at the Vasaloppet yesterday!
Looks like the Long Prairie Night time ski will
be this Friday night (always a fun event with great food and a campfire) at the
Faust trails and I also believe that the candlelite ski at Crane Meadows will
be Saturday night.
Finally, If anyone has waxless kid
skis in their bag please put them in the barrel in the ski room. Joe needs them for Friday's program and the Lincoln/Lindbergh Elementary School ski programs.

Nordic Uniforms and Warmups
Just a reminder to parents that uniforms and warmups were supposed to be turned in by last Friday for kids who are not going to be skiing at the state meet. If your skier hasn't turned in his or her uniform yet, please wash it and get it back to the coaches asap.

Section 8 Meet at Maplelag
Congratulations to all of the varsity skiers on a great section meet yesterday. Girls, section champs, will be going on to state next week as a team. Boys, section runners-up to Tech by only one point, will be sending three individuals to the state meet: Matt Massman, Hunter Zupko and Johnny Gottwalt. We're proud of all of you for representing Little Falls in DL yesterday.
Once again, the Brainerd Dispatch provided some nice coverage of the meet so check that out too, among the links below.
Skinnyski report: Crisp morning temperatures did little to slow down the action at the Section 8 championships held at Maplelag Resort on Tuesday. St. Cloud Tech edged out Little Falls by a single heart breaking point for the boys title. Tech's own Isaac Wieber took the boys individual title, with teammate Cory Rouw second and Brainerd's Noah Baker third. Little Falls girls held off a challenge from Mora to win the girls team title. Maria Hauer, Little Falls, dominated the individual race, winning by three minutes. Katie Williams, St. Cloud Tech, finished second and Jenna Truedson, Bemidji, was third. Full results posted and with photos (more coming later this week).

Jr High Championships Photos
The Flyers brought home a lot of ribbons and plenty of metal too at the Jr High Championships at the Brainerd Arboretum yesterday. Congratulations to all of the skiers who not only skied some great races, but looked like they had a lot of fun doing it. It was a great indication that the Flyer Nordic boys and girls are going to remain strong for years to come!

Favorite St. Cloud Tech's Cory Rouw may have his hands full with one of the new phenoms, Mora's Tom Woolhouse, along with shots from Brainerd's Noah Baker and Rouw's own teammate, Isaac Wieber, for the boys pursuit title. Maria Hauer, Little Falls, should dominate the girls field. St. Cloud Tech boys will need to hold off Little Falls and Brainerd to make the trip to state.
