RACES:        5.5km Classic – Varsity / Junior Varsity - Mass Start

                   3km Skate – Junior High (7^th-9^th) – Mass Start

SCHEDULE:    2:15 Coaches Meeting

  2:30 Boy’s JV Classic - Mass Start (5.5K)

  2:55 Girl’s JV Classic - Mass Start (5.5K)

  3:15 Girl’s Varsity Classic - Mass Start (5.5K)

                     3:30 Boy’s Varsity Classic - Mass Start (5.5K)

  4:00 Jr High Boy’s 7-9^th Skate - Mass Start (3K)

  4:05 Jr High Girl’s 7-9^th Skate - Mass Start (3K)

                     4:45 Awards

SCORING:    Varsity/JV – team score will be total points of top 4 finishers (First place = 1 point, second place = 2 points etc.) "lowest score wins” as in cross country running

TIMING:       All races will be timed with skiers wearing bibs. 

AWARDS:    Varsity team Awards (Boys and Girls top team)

                    Varsity/JV individual Top 6 (Boys & Girls)

                    Jr. High individual -Top 6 (Boys & Girls)

                   

PARKING:    Bus parking will be available at the Nordic Center parking lot. (MAP)

*Don’t walk on ski trail.

Alexandria Meet Details: January 4th

ALEXANDRIA INVITE 2014

Where: Andes Tower Hills

When: Saturday, January 4^th

Who: You!

Varsity: 5K Classic – Wave start. 1 team member per wave. No more than 7 entries per team.

Junior Varsity: 5K Classic – Wave start. Waves will be organized dependent on team entries.

Junior High: 3K Classic – Wave start.

Awards: 1st place varsity finishers get a medal, 2-9 place finishes with a colored ribbon. JV and JH racers finishing in top 10 will get ribbons.  Winning varsity teams will get a special trophy.

Parking: Andes has a large parking lot that should accommodate all busses/spectators.  (MAP)

Format:    Varsity - Continuous Pursuit 

                           3K/3K Mass start

                   JV – 5K skate

                   JH – 3K wave start

Schedule:   9:30 – Coaches meeting

                   10:00 – Varsity Boys

                   11:00 – Varsity Girls

                   12:00 – Junior Varsity Boys

                   12:30 – Junior Varsity Girls

                   1:00 – Junior High Boys

                   1:30 – Junior High Girls

                   2:15 – Awards

***Times may vary depending on entry numbers

Scoring:     Top 4 will score for the team place

Awards:     1^st – 10^th medals for individual varsity

DL Results and Practice Schedule

Race results are up on Skinnyski.com for yesterday's Detroit Lakes 10K Continuous Pursuit.

Kids will be practicing during the break.  Schedule follows:

Saturday the 21st at 1:00 for Varsity, JV, and those who want to be great (including 6th and 7th graders).
Monday the 23rd at 2:00. 

Thursday the 26th at 2:00 (and waxing).  

Race at Brainerd on Friday the 27th 

Monday the 30th at 2:00.  

Skiers are very (very) strongly encouraged  to practice on your own on some of those other days.  

Apparel Order

The Spectrum clothing order will be ready tomorrow (Thursday).  Andrea will be at school from 5:30 to 6:00 to distribute items to the skiers.
